Real shea butter is the hero in every jar. I started making body butter in my kitchen three years ago because my daughter's eczema would not respond to anything else. What started as one formula for one kid is now twelve scents and a refill program. Every body butter in this collection is plant-based, made in small batches, and built around the same core: real shea butter, mango butter, avocado butter, jojoba oil. How to pick the right body butter

If your skin is sensitive, reactive, or eczema-prone, start with the Unscented Body Butter or the Eczema Soothing Body Butter. Both contain the lightest possible touch of essential oils (only tea tree and lavender for the eczema formula, none for the unscented). If you can tolerate scent and just want deep hydration, pick whichever scent calls to you. The base formula is the same across the collection. Shea butter, mango butter, avocado butter, jojoba oil. The scent is what changes.

How body butter is different from lotion

Lotion is mostly water. Body butter is almost entirely oils and butters. Water-based lotions absorb fast but disappear fast. Body butter sits on the skin and locks moisture in for hours. How I make it

Every jar is hand-whipped in small batches in my kitchen. I source the shea butter raw and unrefined, the way it comes from West Africa before processing strips it of the fatty acids that make it work. I source the mango butter and avocado butter the same way. I formulate, whip, jar, label, and ship each batch myself. This is not contract-manufactured. The reason it works is the reason it cannot scale infinitely. I want it that way.

Refills and the eco move

Once you know which scent or formula works for you, switch to the refill pouch. Same formula, 12oz instead of 8oz, less per ounce, no glass jar, less shipping weight. Most repeat customers move to refills after their first jar. The original jar gets reused for storage, plants, or anything else you need a small container for.
