I am Kay. People always ask me which scent to start with, and the honest answer is that it depends on your day. So I put together a few sets. Try all three, find the one you reach for, then come back for the big jar and the refill. That is the whole idea.

What is inside

Three 3.4oz jars, each the same rich and creamy base of shea butter, sweet almond oil, rosehip oil, and vitamin E, plant based and vegan, made by hand. Contains sweet almond oil (tree nut). Net weight 3.4oz each, carry-on sized.

How to use it

Warm a small amount between your palms and smooth it on after a shower. Keep one in your bag, one on the nightstand, gift the third. When you find your scent, the full 8oz jar is the everyday size and the better value per use.

Can I mix my own three?

Right now the sets are curated so they arrive ready to gift. If you want a specific custom three, reply to your order confirmation and I will see what I can do.

Is this a good gift?

It is the easy one. Three scents, one box, nothing to guess. Works for a friend, a new coworker, a teacher, or yourself.

How big are the jars?

Each is 3.4oz, the TSA carry-on limit, so the set travels without a fight.

Who makes these?

I do. My name is Kay, and I make every jar by hand in small batches in Leonardtown, Maryland. It started with a body butter for my daughter's skin, and Jeremiah and I turned it into So Buttery Skin in 2023.

What is in the body butters?

Every scented and unscented body butter starts with shea butter, sweet almond oil, rosehip oil and vitamin E. The scented ones add essential oils, and the Unscented has none. The Eczema Soothing jar has its own formula: shea, mango and avocado butters, jojoba oil, hemp seed oil, vitamin E and a light touch of tea tree and lavender. Any allergens I should know about?

Yes. Sweet almond oil is a tree nut, and it is in all of the scented body butters and the Unscented. If you have a nut allergy, check the Ingredients tab before you buy, and patch test anything new on a small spot of skin first.

Is it vegan and cruelty free?

Yes. Everything is plant based and nothing is tested on animals.

How should I store it?

Somewhere cool and out of direct sun. Shea butter softens in the heat and firms up in the cold, and that is normal. If a jar arrives soft on a hot day, pop it in the fridge for twenty minutes.

How fast does it ship?
