What is inside

Niacinamide for tone, texture, and a calmer barrier. Hyaluronic acid for water bound hydration that makes skin look plumper within minutes. A gentle, plant based base that does not pill under sunscreen or makeup. No synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no sulfates, just a touch of essential oil. Made for sensitive skin first, glow second, which is exactly why the glow shows up.

How to use it

Morning and night, cleanse and pat skin partly dry. Press two or three drops between clean fingers and tap into damp skin. Wait ten seconds for it to settle, then follow with your face cream. In the morning, finish with sunscreen. This serum layers cleanly with most actives.

Can I use this with retinol?

Yes. Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid both play well with retinol. Use retinol at night and follow with your serum and cream to buffer dryness.

Will it sting on broken or flaky skin?

It is designed not to. We left out alcohol, synthetic fragrance, and the common stingers. Most customers with flaky or compromised skin tolerate it well, but always patch test first.

Is this safe during pregnancy?

Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid are generally considered pregnancy safe. Confirm with your provider if you have any concerns.

How long until I see results?

Most customers feel a hydration boost within the first few uses. Tone and texture improvements tend to show up around four to six weeks of consistent daily use.

Can I use it morning and night?

Yes. It is gentle enough for twice daily use and most customers do exactly that.

Will it work over my body butter?

Who makes these?

I do. My name is Kay, and I make every jar by hand in small batches in Leonardtown, Maryland. It started with a body butter for my daughter's skin, and Jeremiah and I turned it into So Buttery Skin in 2023.

What is in the body butters?

Every scented and unscented body butter starts with shea butter, sweet almond oil, rosehip oil and vitamin E. The scented ones add essential oils, and the Unscented has none. The Eczema Soothing jar has its own formula: shea, mango and avocado butters, jojoba oil, hemp seed oil, vitamin E and a light touch of tea tree and lavender. Any allergens I should know about?

Yes. Sweet almond oil is a tree nut, and it is in all of the scented body butters and the Unscented. If you have a nut allergy, check the Ingredients tab before you buy, and patch test anything new on a small spot of skin first.

Is it vegan and cruelty free?

Yes. Everything is plant based and nothing is tested on animals.

How should I store it?

Somewhere cool and out of direct sun. Shea butter softens in the heat and firms up in the cold, and that is normal. If a jar arrives soft on a hot day, pop it in the fridge for twenty minutes.

How fast does it ship?
